Interested in attending our services but don't know what to expect? We hope this information will be helpful to you. If you'd like additional detail, please feel free to reach out to us at info@denverkehillah.org.

We are a warm and welcoming community committed to inclusivity.

Our services are Orthodox and there is a mechitzah – a partition to separate men and women – in our sanctuary. You are invited to sit on the side of the mechitzah with which you identify.

Services are conducted in English and prayers are recited in Hebrew.

We use the Koren siddur (prayerbook) and the Koren Steinsaltz chumash (bible) for following along with the Torah reading. Both are available for use in the sanctuary.

Women are called upon to do some parts of the service, like open and close the Aron HaKodesh (the Holy Ark), give divrei Torah (commentary on the weekly Torah portion), carry the Torah through the women's section and reading the teffilot for the U.S  and Israeli governments and the United States and Israeli Armed Forces.
